Catch the Wave
Flower Power
To get this soft upsweep, Wang advises misting hair with a few spritzes of water until damp, then working in a styling mousse and blow-drying on a low setting, scrunching in waves with fingers as you go. Next, roll and pin hair into a loose bun and accent with fresh plumeria blossoms. Key to success: using a curling iron after blow-drying to ensure extra wave in the front sections of hair. Beauty note: We're stoked on Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam.
Free as a Bird
"If you want your hair up and out of your face, this is the one for you! The jewels add a special touch for your wedding day, while the carefree flow of the feathers gives the style a natural, summery vibe."
Get the Look: Using very little tension, loosely pull hair into a low ponytail. Wrap hair into a bun, swirling it around the base of the ponytail to create an artfully messy chignon. Place a jeweled accessory comb into the top of the crown. For the pièce de résistance, attach feathers to the comb.
August Elegance
"This one really captures summer's relaxed spirit. It's natural and youthful yet still formal enough for the big day."
Get the Look: You'll need to do a ponytail flip to create this modern updo. Start by pulling hair into a loose ponytail. Holding the hair away from your neck, use your fingers to divide it in half at the base of the ponytail. Next, pull the length of the ponytail over the top and bring it downward through the opening in the hair. Roll the end up and secure at the nape of your neck. Allow flyaway strands to escape, adding softness and texture to the look.
